He is a Japanese mangaka and illustrator, who made his debut with "Mob ★ Hunter" in 1983. He became a major figure in manga industry with his work "To-y" which started serialising in 1985. In addition to manga, he drawn advertisements of male cosmetics and an illustration of a CD jacket. The art style is simple and delicate, with a pattern that has a static clean feeling to it. Several artists, such as, Mr. Katsutoshi Kawai, Mr. Hidehisa Masaki, Mr. Makoto Ito, and Mr. Toru Terada, have worked as his assistant in the past. He has a deep friendship with Mr. Hiroyuki Asada and Mr. Shou Tashima.
