Duane Johnson

Johnson is a freelance translator. After graduating with a degree in Japanese Studies, Duane suspected he'd never do anything professional with it, until a few years later an opportunity chanced across his path. Leaving a relatively secure IT job behind, he dove head-first into the harrowing world of freelance translation, and has been there ever since. Ten years later, Duane's list of clients includes such names as Digital Manga Publishing, Media Blasters, Tokyopop, and Toei Animation, and he considers himself fortunate to have worked on projects such as the Berserk manga and the Genshiken anime. When he's not busy with translation work or hunting down more of it, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two cats.
