She made her debut as a novelist in 2007. She is the author of many books, including My Beautiful Garden (Poplar Bunko) and Shangri-La Before Destruction (Chuokoron Shinsha). In 2023, her latest work "Thou, Like a Star" won the Bookstore Grand Prize. She is only the second person in history to win the award for the second time after winning in 2020. She became the fastest ever to win again in just three years.
