Yomi Hirasaka begin their debut as novelist in 2004 from the Light Novel series "Haunted!" that won MF Bunko 0th J-Light Novel Newcomer Award (Japanese: 第0回MF文庫Jライトノベル新人賞). The pen name Yomi Hirasaka used derived from the Japanese mythological slope in the realm of underworld called "Yomotsu-Hirasaka" (黄泉平坂).
