Aim to be a Hero!

Cheerful young Kashima "Tora" Toranosuke wanted to become a hero and ended up as a police detective. When he joins the police force, he gains not only his dream job but also a group of new friend. In particular, he and his gruff new partner, Mahori, get along so well that their coworkers begin to remark on how lovey-dovey they are. That's not true, of course -- at least, not yet...
