Machi is Tami's classmate and a third year middle school student. She is the student council president and works alongside Tami, who is the vice president. She has a rocky relationship with her older sister, Sari, who is a teacher at their school, and is against the idea of Sari becoming the teacher advisor of the yosakoi club.
