Shimakaze

An extremely fast and condescending shipgirl based on the real-life experimental Japanese destroyer Shimakaze. She's always seen either accompanied by or carrying one to three Rensouhou-chan, her robot mascots based on the 12.7cm twin-mounted gun, and is shown to easily get bored unless she gets to show off her speed.

In the first anime, she attends the same class as Fubuki and her friends, but is not part of her usual circle.

In the *Shimakaze Tsumujikaze no Shoujo* manga, she feels depressed about being the only ship of her class, which causes her to antagonize [Asashio](https://anilist.co/character/383182/Asashio), who notoriously hails from a sizeable line of ships.
