Dr. Taylor's colleague and Rex's adoptive father. He discovers Rex as a baby in The American Museum of Natural History and adopts him. He sends Rex to live with the Taylor family to give him a more "normal" family environment, and meanwhile seeks a woman to marry so that he can give his adoptive son a mother. He develops a crush on Ursula. In the second season, he also stays in the present with Reece, Laura, and Rod. At the end of Pterosaur Legends, he once again asks Ursula to marry him, but she replies with a "no." (Source: Wikipedia)
