Ai is the main character in Animal Crossing: The Movie, she is said to represent the player from the Animal Crossing series.

She moves to Animal Village where she is put to work by Tom Nook, as in all of the Animal Crossing Series games. Later in the movie she forms many bonds with the villagers. Such as, Whitney, Rosie, Sally, and Yu.
