Amaranta

Amaranta belongs to a group of people who makes a point to rent gondolas sculled by singles, so as to help nurture their growth. She shows up in episode 2 of Aria the Origination ("That Smiling Customer") after renting Akari's gondola for the day. At the end, even though she's been to all the spots Akari guided her through, she pointed out that it wasn't the destination that mattered, but the heart and spirit of the Undines themselves that made the journey enjoyable. Amaranta is an anime only character, and does not show up in the manga.
