A novice linguist who goes on a research trip to Netherworld in his mentor's stead after he got injured in an accident.
Armed by the his knowledge and his mentor's notes, he sets on a journey to document and learn the language of Netherworld's inhabitants that some fellow humans has dubbed "monsters."
