Anshi

Anshi, the Empress Dowager, is the wife of the previous Emperor, mother to the current one.

She joined the inner court at 10 years of age as the attendant to a consort and unwillingly got the previous Emperor's attention with her childish innocence. He jumped her and, at 11, she gave birth to the current Emperor.

Her relationship with the previous Emperor was cold, for she was disgusted by him while he feared her ever more adult (dominant) presence. Later in life, she found him making advances on underage maid and in a pit of rage, she raped him, resulting in her getting pregnant with the second prince.
