A student at Chidori High. Rintarou is a very kind and calm person, but his blonde hair and piercings—adopted due to struggles with self-expression in his childhood—have led to many writing him off as a delinquent. The exceptions to this are his close friends at Chidori High, as well as [Kaoruko](https://anilist.co/character/268676), a girl from an opposing school known as Kikyo Private Academy. After first meeting Kaoruko in his family's cake shop, Rintarou gradually begins to spend more time with her.
