Shako is a Quentman, one of the legendary race of fighting men from the planet Quent. He offers his services as a mercenary at Assemble EX-10 in Kummen, where his path crosses Chirico's. Shako is quiet and efficient, a giant of man who proves a formidable opponent in his customized "Berserga" AT. When Chirico travels to Quent in the last part of the series to search for clues to his heritage, Shako meets him again and becomes a valuable ally as the story nears its climax.
