He is Yujiro's father. Yujiro's mother remarried him, so he is not related by blood to Yujiro. He is the current head of the Someya family, one of the most prestigious kabuki families in Japan, and a living national treasure. He treats those around him with a strict attitude. Yujiro describes him as "unflattering" and he is opposed to the decision of Yujiro following a career in the entertainment business with a half-hearted determination.
