Almost nothing is known about the Doctor's background and past, other than that they had a doctorate in neurology and had extensively researched Oripathy prior to the events of the story. Like Kal'tsit, their file number starts with 'B', implying a connection to Babel, the predecessor of Rhodes Island.

Currently suffering from amnesia, the Doctor was rescued by Amiya from Chernobog when Talulah led the Reunion insurgence against the Ursus empire.
