Kyosuke Kiryu is seen as one of Yusei Fudo's friends and he plays a major role in S2 [S1 Arc 2] in the Signer vs Dark Signer war. Prior to the 5D's timeline, Kiryu had been the leader of a legendary dueling team called Team Satisfaction, which consisted of Yusei Fudo, Jack Atlus, Crow Hogan, and himself as the founder and leader. However, later on, Kiryu's motives for the team had changed, even after they had conquered all of Satellite.
