Hisami Hishishii

Hisami is an introverted, quiet girl who becomes Anita's closest friend at school. She works in the school's library and enjoys reading. Her relationship with Anita is often mirrored with that of Anne and Diana from the novel Anne of Green Gables (or Red-Haired Anne, in the Japanese translation). It is revealed that Hisami is in love with Anita after being confessed to by Okahara Tohru, her long time friend and Anita's school rival.
