Girl #19 Chisato Matsui is one of the class of third-year students at Shiroiwa Junior High School in Shiroiwa, Kagawa Prefecture. The novel describes Chisato, a member of a non-distinct group of girls referred to by the novel as "the neutrals," as "always quiet and withdrawn." Chisato is a petite girl with long hair.
