Anime version Shuri's teacher who is also a scholar and doctor in the countryside. Shibaki has been taking care of Shuri ever since she was orphaned and was separated from her sisters. She loves Shuri, treating her like her own daughter and wanting the best for her. She returns in the second season where she has adopted another girl name Hōtō.
