Yamada Asaemon Senta is the 5th rank Asaemon in the Yamada Clan. After the shogun sent criminals to Kotaku to find the Elixir of Life, he was tasked with being [Yuzuriha's](https://anilist.co/character/137270/Yuzuriha) executioner.

Senta is very nervous around others and tends to frequently sweat. He usually remains in the background and goes along with whatever is happening around him but will speak up when he feels that whatever he has to say would be helpful. Senta is capable of assessing the situation and makes good judgements as to how to approach them. He dislikes his role of killing people but feels that he has no choice in the matter and chooses to abandon his dream of becoming an artist. After observing Yuzuriha, he becomes envious and enchanted by her innate freedom. Despite his nervous demeanor, Senta is fearless and stands his ground no matter who he is up against.
