Maomao

Maomao works as an apothecary in the red light district, helping her mentor and father Luomen in caring for its residents, with special attention given to the Verdigris Hall brothel, where she was born and was initially raised.

One day, while gathering herbs, she gets kidnapped and sold to be a common servant in the inner court of the imperial palace, where only the Emperor's consorts and their servants reside. Not allowed to leave, her curious personality and skills begin to rope her into mysterious problems that can affect the whole country.
