Hikaru Gosunkugi

Gosunkugi is a classmate of [Ranma](https://anilist.co/character/668/Ranma-Saotome) and [Akane.](https://anilist.co/character/669/Akane-Tendou) Like many of the other male characters in the series, Gosunkugi is in love with Akane even though he is too shy to tell her. He also realizes that he would never stand a chance against her other suitors like [Ryoga](https://anilist.co/character/2369/Ryouga-Hibiki) and [Kuno.](https://anilist.co/character/7699/Tatewaki-Kunou) Gosunkugi often tries to sneakily get the upperhand on his rivals, though often this backfires. Most of his classmates are completely unaware of him, and certainly unaware of his ambitions to move them out of the way so he might have a moment with Akane. In the original anime, most of Gosunkugi's parts were given to [Sasuke Sagurature.](https://anilist.co/character/27796/Sasuke-Sarugakure)
